Good Morning Cedar Grove Family! |
We had a great time gathering together yesterday in the name of Jesus. I love to be with my people. As I was pondering on how the day went, there was a heavy burden on my heart and mind. |
Integrity. Without it we are simply a show. Without integrity we lose all credibility as God's people. How can we reflect a perfect and faithful God, when we live without integrity? |
I believe we are in a pivotal time at Cedar Grove. Possibly the most pivotal time in the long history of our beloved local church. You can call me bias, but the world we live in is much faster moving away from God than ever before. We no longer have gold, silver and bronze idols. No, now we have sports, education, family time, personal time, technology, social media. All of these things may look better than a household idol on the mantel, but the destruction is the same. This is why we need integrity. |
What is integrity? Integrity is being honest and having strong unshakeable moral convictions. Have we taken inventory on our convictions lately? In what areas have we compromised. What have we allowed to shift away from the Lord in our lives. Hear me church... we can be busy doing all the right things and still lack integrity. May we not be busy more than we are dedicated to the Lord. I understand how this Monday Mourning is different than most, however, this is what God put on my heart. |
Integrity. We have to have it. |
Allow me to share some scripture in regard to integrity: |
The integrity of the upright will guide them, But the crookedness of the treacherous will destroy them. Proverbs 11:3 |
Let's not give the enemy any strongholds in our life. We can fool those around us, but we cannot fool God. So, Cedar Grove, let's serve together with integrity. Let's hold fast to our convictions. Yes, we will grow in the Word and learn more, but may our foundation be sure and steady. And most importantly, let us share the abounding, overflowing, more than enough grace that God has given us! |
I love you Cedar Grove! Be on guard. Stay awake. Remain vigilant. He is worthy of it ALL. Happy in the Lord, amen. Buh-bye. |
