Merry Christmas Cedar Grove!

13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and tglorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:13-16

The Holy Bible: King James Version, Electronic Edition of the 1900 Authorized Version. (Bellingham, WA: Logos Research Systems, Inc., 2009), Mt 5:13–16.

I hope this text resonates with you this morning. The True Light, Jesus Christ, came into this world a humble babe. He lived a perfect life fullfilling the whole law. He healed, restored, delivered, and spoke God's Word. Yet, Jesus was hung on the cross. He shed his perfect blood so that we could be saved. The True Light of the world hung upon the cross on Golgotha's hill, now it's our time to shine His light through our lives! He wasn't ashamed of us, how can we be ashamed of Him?

Never forget why we celebrate Christmas. Joy to the world the Lord is come. Just for some extra information, that song was originally written about the rapture. Think about that... Jesus came as the sweet baby in a manger, but He will return King and Conqueror. Joy to the world!

In life groups last week, we named worship songs that help us through the tough times. One of the songs named was first taken as humorous, but upon further thought became an eye opener for those in the group. The song goes as follows:

"This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine. This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine. This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine. Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine!"

I love you Cedar Grove and I thank God every day for calling me to be your pastor. Love on your family, talk about Jesus, worship Him and adore Him!

Happy in the Lord, amen. Buy-bye
