Good morning Cedar Grove family! |
Although down in number yesterday, we had a wonderful time of worship, fellowship and the Word. Bro. Nathan Thomason absolutely brought the house down. I want to remind us of the parable in Luke 15:8-10 |
8 “Or what woman, if she has ten silver coins and loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? |
9 “When she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin which I had lost!’ |
10 “In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” |

What a beautiful story that we can directly apply to our lives today. Are we seeing the value in lost souls like this woman saw the value in the one lost coin? Are we willing to invest in keeping the light on this hill whether it be by finances, time, or prayer? Are we willing to keep searching for lost souls to lead to Christ? Are we already close to quitting, or worse, not even have started? What causes us to rejoice? These are all questions we need to answer as individuals at Cedar Grove. Our strength together is directly connected to our strength individually. Our community is lost. There are many churches on many street corners, but yet 85% of Wilson County has no church home. Why? Could it be that we have gotten comfortable with our 9 coins? I pray it be not so for us! |
Keep the light on! Keep sweeping! Do not quit! Rejoice in the Lord. I love you Cedar Grove. I pray you have a great Monday for the glory of God. Happy in the Lord, amen. Buh-bye |
