What a wonderful day yesterday was. Gathering together with the saints, worshiping the name of Jesus, and learning more about the Lord is something we must not take for granted. Once again, we come to Monday Mourning. I pray we have not let the fresh work week steal our joy from yesterday. With that being said, our joy comes from the Lord, and He has not changed!

Yesterday we learned about peace. What we think about, our thoughts, have much influence over the direction of our day. Will we have peace or misery? It is easy to think negatively about the coworker, boss, spouse or even child that has caused irritation to your day. Let's not be overly "spiritual," we often easily get annoyed by others. In addition, the situation you find yourself in this Monday morning, whether it be financial, medical, or relational, could keep you thinking carnally. Last week was Mission Monday. Today, let's have Mindset Monday! Think on the good things in life that God has blessed you with. Having coworkers means you have a job. Praise the Lord! If God has blessed you with a spouse or children, praise the Lord! God has been good to us Cedar Grove. This does not mean bad things do not happen, but how we think about things will pave the way for our day. So think good today.

Here are some scriptures to help you on the Mindset Monday:

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are shonest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. Philippians 4:8-9

beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:1-2

I love being your pastor and friend Cedar Grove. I look forward to growing in the Lord until He comes riding in the clouds! Don't forget about Midweek. We truly have a good time together. Come and see.

Your pastor and fellow Christ-follower, happy in the Lord, amen

Jacob Lannom, Buh-bye
