Good morning Cedar Grove Family!

"Jesus loves you!" "Merry Christmas" "come to our church" "Jesus is Lord!" and of course... "scan for a chance to win a gift card!"

These are just some of the several things I heard yesterday during the Lebanon Christmas Parade. It may have been cold, but I know my heart was warmed through the effort and love displayed by members of our church. Not only that, but we now have 129 new connections made. Grant it, these connections are mainly phone numbers, but this allows us to share the Gospel with even more people. That is what it is all about. Some folks may not understand our emphasis and downright obsession over the parade. Let me explain with scripture:

12 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.John 14:12

20 Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, 21 to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21

Ministry takes on many different looks. Programs and partnerships are all great and good. However, when you are able to plaster the name of JESUS in front of thousands, yes, thousands of people from our community, that's exactly what you do. There's no telling the impact we made today in the name of Jesus. I believe we may only truly know when we get to heaven. Cedar Grove will do whatever it takes to share the good news. A parade may just be a parade to some, but to us it's an opportunity.

We are the Christmas parade church. In fact, we did win first place...again!

Never let personal preference hinder passionate pursuit of soul winning. If I look a fool opening my mouth for Christ, then I look a fool!

I love you Cedar Grove and next time you see your sister in Christ Carolyn Sharp THANK HER for all the effort she put in leading this ministry. Many people helped plan, build, pull, and walk in this year's parade. I thank you.
