Good morning family!

What a day yesterday! As I sit on the way to the airport to leave for the SBC in Dallas, I can’t help but think about what I saw last night.

Last night, following lifegroups, there were about 15 kids and a half a dozen adults playing on our campus. It was a beautiful sight. You could see the fun they were having, and you could hear the laughter all the way from the church. I got to think about what Jesus said to His disciples, “let the children come.” Church, I know we make VBS a big deal, I know we invest much money into our children programs, I know we went all out on our playground. I also know that if we can reach people when they are children, there’s not limit to the impact our local church can make in our community. Last night, as I watch that beautiful sight of fellowship and fun, I cherished the fact that our kids have a safe place to play, responsible and loving adults caring for them, and a church that sees their value. Praise the Lord. Let’s not forget the vision!

I look forward to representing you at the Southern Baptist Convention the next few days. I love you and I am thankful to be your pastor. Happy in the Lord, amen. Buy-Bye.
