Good morning Cedar Grove! |
What a day of gathering yesterday. I pray you were as impacted as I was. I want to encourage you this morning to remember God's commands to us... |
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; 11 not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; Rom. 12:10–11. |
We must be devoted to each other. When is the last time you went out of your way to show someone honor? Could it be that you can remember more recently a time you have gone out of your way to dishonor someone? Be honest. Our affection for each other must be evident to those around us. It is the difference between saying you love someone and living like you love them. |
We must be diligent. Today, make the decision that your work ethic will be one of the many ways God uses you to draw people closer to Him. Think about that! God desires even the way you work to glorify Him. It doesn't matter whether or not we like those we work with. Obedience goes before preference. |
We must be fervent. Where do your passions lie? Are you a different person in the church than in a ball game? Our excitement ought to be attached to the things and work of God! |
Remember who you serve. You serve THE KING! |
I love you Cedar Grove. I Look forward to gathering for midweek. Happy in the Lord, amen. Buh-bye. |
