Good morning Cedar Grove family! |
I am thankful for our time together yesterday as we celebrated the unity we have in Christ and acknowledged the sacrifice He made for us to save us from our sin. I pray that we do not take days like yesterday for granted. I want to encourage you today by giving some more insight on how to combat MMS. For you who are new to the email list, MMS means Monday Mourning Syndrome. How do we crash so far from the high of Sunday less than 24 hours later? That is what we want to avoid. |
Remember, yesterday was a celebration of our togetherness and singleness of heart. That has not changed today. Make this Monday a Mission Monday. We heard two beautiful Christian testimonies from two families who shared what God has done in their life. I am thankful that they shared. It was convicting, motivating, and downright captivating on how good God really is! That being said, what is stopping you from sharing your testimony to others today? Is it that you aren't in the mood? Maybe you feel too busy. No doubt that seed of determination from God's Word yesterday could be diminishing. Sounds to me like MMS. You know what I say to that? Not today! Today is Mission Monday. Share your testimony with someone. If they have already heard it, tell it again. Speak with your family about how good God has been even through the ups and downs. Share, share, and share some more of Jesus our Savior and Lord. |
There are two purposes of sharing our Christian testimony: |
1) To lead the lost to Christ: I cannot think of any better reason to be on mission today than to have the opportunity to lead someone to Jesus. |
2) To encourage the saints: When I hear about how God has brought my brother or sister through the fire it helps me believe He can do the same for me! Help someone's potential unbelief, discouragement, or doubt. |
Here are some scriptures to help you on this MISSION MONDAY: |
Psalm 22:22 I will declare thy name unto my brethren: In the midst of the congregation will I praise thee. |
Psalm 66:16 Come and hear, all ye that fear God, And I will declare what he hath done for my soul. |
Oh, and don't forget... Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wrench like me. I once was lost, but now I'm found, was blind but now I see! |
I love you Cedar Grove family with all of my heart. I am glad God has put us together to serve and glorify Him. Be on mission. Share the goodness of God. Fight the enemy in Jesus name, for the enemy is already defeated! |
Your Pastor and friend, Happy in the Lord, amen... Buh-bye |
